Manulife has appointed Julie Labrecque Page (pictured) as director of brand marketing and creative, Asia, reporting to Jenny Fan, Manulife China's chief marketing officer and head of brand, content and sponsorship.

Based in Hong Kong, Labrecque Page will oversee Manulife’s global consistency and local relevance across 10 markets while liaising with the Canadian headquarters, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

“As far as I can remember, I grew up with the Manulife brand. From a very early age in Québec, I was exposed to ''Manuvie'', and since we've settled in Hong Kong, it has always been a source of great pride to witness 'the brand that feels like home' shining across Asia,” Labrecque Page’s LinkedIn post reads.

Prior to joining Manulife, she had helmed the general manager and partner role at creative agency Camden across the region, responsible for leading brand development and marketing strategies for global clients across various sectors while localising brands for the Asia market. She oversaw digital campaigns, provided strategic leadership in Asia, and drove business development, onboarding clients such as Rosewood Hong Kong, 1883 Maison Routin, and The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Before Camden, Labrecque Page worked as an APAC attaché for promotion and prospection (Québec Office) at the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong and Macao. In this role, she developed and executed comprehensive annual strategic plans to connect businesses in APAC with Canada. Additionally, she managed market-specific communication campaigns and activations to maximize impact and engagement with target audiences in East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Western Asia, and Oceania.

Labrecque Page also has experience in the hospitality marketing sector, having served as global director of operations for the North American education division at travel and leisure company TUI. In this role, she developed and executed comprehensive annual strategic plans to liaise businesses in APAC with Canada.
